The Rock Lookout

The Rock Lookout area of Blue Mountains National Park is situated within the historic Mulgoa Valley, only minutes from the bustling city of Penrith. A short track of a few hundred metres leads to 'The Rock' with superb views of the Nepean River. A longer track of 2.5 kilometres leads from the car park through swampy heath and Eucalyptus forest to Riley's Mountain where more views of the Nepean Gorge and surrounds can be enjoyed by the keen walker or photographer.

Windsor Heritage Walk

The heritage charm of Windsor can be fully explored on the heritage walk of the town. Windsor emerged along the banks of the Hawkesbury River and became the third settlement of the Colony in 1794. Originally called Green Hills, Windsor was officially named in 1810 by Governor Macquarie after the town in England. The five Macquarie Towns are Windsor, Richmond, Willberforce, Pitt Town and Castlereagh.

Wollondilly Heritage Centre and Museum

Wollondilly Heritage Centre is a community museum which collects the stories and material culture from Burragorang Valley, Yerranderie and Wollondilly shire. There are four exhibition buildings which frequently change displays and one acre of landscaped grounds with disability access and large car park and free barbecue. They are open every weekend and public holiday and provide special programs for schools and coach groups mid week by pre-booking. The displays include Aboriginal and migrant history and local stories using interactive and digital technology in addition to traditional techniques, they also offer a community access room for workshops, seminars and family reunions. Wollondilly Heritage Centre has won awards in both the tourism and museum sectors.
